Qatar

Qatar is a country that is located in the Middle East and it is basically a nation that is rich in oil. Doha is its capital city. Qatar is the nation whose GDP per capita ranks second in the world. Ever since the middle of the 1800s, Qatar has been under the rule of the al-Thani family. Previously it used to be known as a pearling country but today, Qatar has made a name for itself as an exporting country of oil and natural gas. Over the last few years, the country has been growing at a very fast rate and in the year 2008, it reported a budget surplus for the eighth consecutive year. The chief religion in the country is Islam and more than 3/4th of the population follows this religion.

There are also many expats living in this nation. Majority of the expats are from non-oil producing Arab countries and also from South Asia. Its petrochemical industry is what attracts the expats to Qatar. The culture of this country is similar to the cultures of other Arab countries. Qatar has placed great importance on education and the Government requires its citizens to finish the Government provided education till high school.

    Souq Waqif

    Souq Waqif is a souq in Doha, in the state of Qatar. The souq is noted for selling traditional garments, spices, handicrafts, and souvenirs. It is also home to dozens of restaurants and Shisha lounges.

    Zubarah, also referred to as Al Zubarah or Az Zubarah, is a ruined and deserted town located on the north western coast of the Qatar peninsula in the Madinat ash Shamal municipality, about 105 km from the Qatari capital of Doha.
