Apafi-Bethlen Castle

Built in the XV-th century by the wealthy hungarian Transylvanian royal family Apafi, transformed in the XVII-th and XVIII-th centuries. Apafi Castle belonged to the Prince of Transylvania Michael Apafi who ruled for almost 30 years between 1661-1690 as a loyal vassal of the Ottomans. Starting with the XVIII-th century the manor house belonged to the powerfull noble Bethlen Family.
