Kaminia Beach, Kefalonia Island

Kaminia is a sandy beach located 34 km south of Argostoli, the beautiful capital of Kefalonia and close to Skala village. It is one of the longest beaches of Kefalonia with crystalline waters, an ideal spot for a silent and relaxed day under the warm sun.

The beach offers shelter to the loggerhead turtles carretta-carretta which are already suffering mass extinction. The turtles nest in the gentle sloped sand during the midnights of May and August. One long row of colorful sunbeds and umbrellas cover the sand offering lovely views to the endless blue sea. Kaminia is connected to the neighbour beach of Mounda offering a huge space where people can freely enjoy several activities and long walks along the beautiful coast.

There is a small snack bar right on the beach where you can refresh after a long stroll or swimming session with beautiful panoramic view of the lush hilly cape. The area is relatively quiet and the water is warm and shallow. The countryside of Katelios village offers a perfect opportunity for enchanting walks amidst the lush green forests. It takes some minutes walking to reach this beach. It is easily accessed from the village of Skala.
