House Under the Angel, Old Town, Zamosc

House Under the Angel is one of the so-called. Armenian tenement houses located in the northern part of the Grand Market in Zamosc. It is very richly decorated. Named after the bas-relief depicting the Archangel Gabriel. On the figure of the Archangel, among stylized vines, you can see the dragon, and the next two lions backed up on its hind legs. According to the foundation, the dragon symbolizes evil and lions to protect against the inhabitants of the house.

Townhouse built in the years 1632-1634 Armenian wealthy merchant Gabriel Bartoszewicz. Today the building houses the Museum of Zamosc.
